LAUNE x The Stoop Club
Meet Alex and Ava Howard, sisters who were born and raised in small-town Minnesota. When the two moved to NYC, it was hard for them to find a sense of community. They would walk around their neighborhood and see groups of people gathered on their stoops socializing. It was the cutest sight and gave them hope that they would find their place in this big city!
After years of living here, they created The Stoop Club with the goal of bringing people together and celebrating the neighborhoods of NYC. They took a simple idea, putting street names on hats, and created The Stoop Club! The two believe that every piece they create should not just be an accessory but a tribute to this city, and a piece to bring people together.

1. What is the LAUNE (mood) of The Stoop Club?
Sporty, timeless, classic New York.
2. How do you decide which streets or neighborhoods to include on your accessories?
The West Village is our home so it was a no-brainer to start here! It’s a place inside the city that feels like an escape from the hustle and bustle. With it’s tree-lined streets, historic buildings, and the many interesting people that live here, it has that true neighborhood feel.
In regard to how we choose our streets, every street has a story! Our first three hats that we have launched are Bleecker, Hudson and Grove Streets. These streets are home to many iconic shops and restaurants, and are full of life and energy.
3. What inspires you?
New York City. It’s inspiring to be surrounded by so many daring individuals from all walks of life. The city makes you feel like the sky is the limit!
4. What are three staple items that every closet should have?
A good pair of jeans, a fun pair of sneakers, and a statement baseball hat :)
5. How do you like to style your hats?
The fun thing about a baseball hat is you can style it up or down. You can throw it on with leggings for your walk to the gym or dress it up with gold chunky earrings and wear it out to drinks with your friends!
6. Describe your style in three words.
Alexandra: Classic, timeless, effortless
Ava: Girly masculine, simple
7. What do you love about NYC?
There is always something going on! Everything big and exciting happens here and you never know who or what you will find around every corner.
8. What’s next for The Stoop Club?
We have a few exciting things in the works so stay tuned. And of course, more of our favorite streets will be coming soon!
