LAUNE x Allie DePinto
Meet Allie DePinto, creative, icon, and co-founder of Sunday Route. Based in New York City with an eye for all things chic and sparkly, she effortlessly blends style, lifestyle, health, and wellness in her content. I have been following Allie for quite some time and she has phenomenal taste. Get to know Allie, some of the best workouts in NYC, and more below.
1. Tell me about yourself, your background, and your work.
My name is Allie DePinto, I am a creative based in New York City. Growing up in New Jersey I spent a lot of time in and around NYC as I was a major theater kid. While a musical theater degree is what brought me to Manhattan I’ve built my career so far in social media and have begun to insert myself into the fashion industry which has been a huge goal of mine since I moved to NY. I consult brands and individuals on social media strategy and content and I love what I do!
2. What is your LAUNE (mood)?
My LAUNE is playful, uplifting, and honest.
3. Describe your style in three words.
Classic, sparkly, and chic.
4. What inspires you?
My parents are my biggest inspiration. I believe they have truly “figured it out” and I hope to be half the people they are by the time I’m their age. I also love exploring NYC, if I am in a rut catch me on a long walk / really spending time alone just absorbing the nuances the city has to offer. I often find the most clarity either on a walk / run outside in NY.
5. Tell me about Sunday Route.
Sunday Route is the place you want to exhale! At least to me haha. My cofounder Fran and I wanted to create a space where people felt they could really learn to unlock something within them and we hope that through our new Substack our community is able to do that. We initially began with two clothing drops, a crewneck and socks but have evolved into a digital diary in a sense where we drop weekly articles for our community. I’m so proud of Sunday Route and really hope we continue to develop into a resource for people to reference when they just need a reset.
6. You are a workout guru! What are your fav workouts in the city and why?
Working out to me is a form of therapy. I really found myself through the fitness scene in NYC and think there is a spot for everyone to find what works for them. I go to AARMY pretty religiously… I’ve been working out with Sophia Nichole for almost 7 years if you can even believe. I think the incredible thing about AARMY is the training really feels like life training rather than just a 5o minute class. You leave so inspired by the people around you and really ready to show up as your best self for the day. Besides AARMY I really enjoy Tracy Anderson Method, especially once it gets colder outside, the heat feels so great and it brings me back to my dance roots. I also recently have gotten into reformer pilates and Georgia at TERA Studio will have you sore for days.
7. What do you love about NYC?
While it often reminds me how much I need to slow down, the pace of NYC is one you just can’t beat. It is ingrained in the culture here to move quickly and work really hard. I think there is no better place to live in your 20s than in NYC. I feel so motivated by all the different people in NYC, everyone is so checked in to their careers it is motivating living around people who are all working hard towards big goals people elsewhere maybe can’t comprehend.
8. What’s next for you?
I am so stoked to be freelancing fully now. It’s really so stimulating for me to be doing a lot of things at once. I find learning from people, especially those older than me to be incredibly rewarding and the beauty of having a lot going on is there is lots of time to learn. I’m also really excited to be diving more into my personal content! I’ve recently signed with management, and my new schedule is definitely more flexible to allow for me to spend more energy there!
