1. Tell me about Maison Goula? How was it created?
Maison Goula was founded on the basis of my love for pilates. To dive deeper, I have had 3 knee surgeries over the past two years and realized the importance of wearing grip socks when going to class. With that, I searched high and wide to find a pair of grip socks that fit my aesthetic and just couldn’t. So that is how the world of Maison Goula was born.
2. What is the LAUNE (mood) of Maison Goula?
Maison Goula’s mood is minimal, sporty and chic.
3. Why pilates socks?
Finding a pair of pilates socks that fit my aesthetic and provided me the safety I needed from a grip sock was impossible! Everything I read and hear about successful entrepreneurs is that your business concept has to solve a problem! From all my research, I know I am not the only one looking for minimalistic, yet chic pilates socks that will provide the support they need and to prevent injury.
4. What inspires you?
I have always been inspired by 90s fashion and print magazines. I am also constantly gaining inspiration from pinterest and scrolling the explore page on IG.
5. What are three staple items that every closet should have?
A good quality black blazer
A pointed toe kitten heel
A structured white tee
6. Describe your style in three words.
Classic. Minimal. Chic.
7. When are you launching and what’s next for Maison Goula?
Maison Goula launched yesterday!! There are so many exciting things in the works… a little hint is themed around one of my favorite places in the world!

Besides NYC I would have to say my home, Melbourne Australia!

The Nines is such an amazing spot for drinks in the city! I love sitting at the bar with my husband listening to their live music.
5. Favorite restaurant in NYC?
This is such a tough question! I don’t think I can give you one but, top 3 would have to be Tokyo Record Bar, The Hawksmoor and Sannyu West!
6. Favorite workout/pilates studio in NYC?
I am a diehard Solidcore fan but also live New York Pilates and the floor pilates classes at Lifetime.
7. Favorite style icon?
Definitely Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy!
8. Favorite movie?
The Devil Wears Prada!
9. What are you loving right now?
I am truly loving building Maison Goula and learning something new everyday from the process. It is so much fun to design new socks and potentially other categories in the future but also learning so much about myself and the business world through the process.
